West Kiskatinaw River wildfire causes an evacuation order to be issued for Tumbler Ridge and area

The District of Tumbler Ridge and Peace River Regional District has issued an evacuation order due to wildfire. You must leave the area immediately.
The RCMP is working closely with multiple partners and phone lines are very busy. We ask that you refrain from calling 9-1-1 UNLESS there is an emergency or you are unable to evacuate. An exit route has been established via Highway 29 or Highway 52 east/boundary to Dawson Creek.
