Missing kayaker located deceased

An extensive search by Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue, Canadian Coast Guard and Sunshine Coast Ground Search and Rescue was initiated on Friday November 25th after a kayaker had been reported being overdue from Gibsons BC.
On Saturday November 26th the missing kayaker was located deceased in the water south of Gibsons. The missing kayak was also located by the search teams. The BC Coroners Service has taken over conduct of the file and Sunshine Coast RCMP will continue to assist if required.
