File # 20-8174
Over the past several weeks, the Sunshine Coast RCMP have responded to an increase in serious calls for service. Officers have been working diligently to put the evidence together to support charges and hold offenders accountable.
Two specific cases occurred on November 22, 2020 and November 26, 2020 when the same suspect stole a vehicle and caused thousands of dollars of damage, and then days later broke into a home and assaulted and threatened the home owners.
As a result of the investigative efforts by Sunshine Coast RCMP, formal charges have now been laid against Ryan Ronald Robinson, age 27 of Sechelt, BC.
He is facing 15 charges which represent a crime spree that spread over several days and multiple jurisdictions between the Sunshine Coast and the Lower Mainland. He has been released on bail with strict conditions. A community bail supervisor and Sunshine Coast RCMP will be monitoring for compliance.
He is expected to make his next appearance in Sechelt Provincial Law Courts on Wednesday January 13, 2021.
