Kamloops police are looking to identify a man who may be the same suspect in two investigations.
On Dec. 19, 2022, just before 4 a.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers attended a business on the 1500-block of Springhill Drive for a break and enter. Cash, Ipads, and a large gift basket were stolen by a suspect described as possibly male, wearing gloves, a hooded jacket, and satchel bag. An image of the person was captured by surveillance video.
As part of the investigation, police believe the suspect may be the same one involved in a porch-pirate theft reported earlier this month,
said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson.
In that theft report, two parcels were stolen from the doorstep on the 1700-block of Ironwood Crescent.
Even if the incidents turn out to be unrelated, it’s still important for people to reach out if they think they know who the suspect is,
added Cpl. Evelyn.
Anyone with information related to these investigations is asked to please contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2022-44610 or 44941.
