Two men plead guilty in connection to 2022 Journey Approved robbery

Guilty pleas have been entered by two men in connection to the armed robbery that occurred at the Journey Approved car dealership on November 22, 2022.
Coquitlam RCMP responded to an armed robbery at Journey Approved located at 1881 Lougheed Highway in Port Coquitlam shortly after 3:40 p.m. on November 22, 2022. On November 23, 2022, charges were laid against Kwabena Bosiako and Omar Demetris.

On March 7, 2024 Kwabena Bosiako and Omar Demetris pleaded guilty to offences committed on or about November 22, 2022.
Kwabena Bosiako pleaded guilty to:
- 3 counts of robbery contrary to section 344(1)(b)
- 1 count of use of a firearm during flight after committing an indictable offence contrary to section 85(1)
- 1 count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle contrary to section 320.13(1)
- 1 count of failing to comply with a release order between June 2-6, 2023, contrary to section 145(5)(a)
Omar Demetris pleaded guilty to:
- 2 counts of robbery contrary to section 344(1)(b)
- 1 count of unauthorized possess of a firearm contrary to section 91(1)
Both men remain in custody.
