File # 1989-28607

The investigation for the four missing family members of the Jack family, Ronald, Doreen, Russell and Ryan, has been ongoing within the Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit since the date of their disappearance on August 1, 1989.

This week, extended family members of the Jack family have begun a community-lead search in the Willow River area, east of Prince George.

Our investigators have been in recent contact with the organizers of this search and are aware of their efforts. However, the information we have been provided on the search location is not sufficient for us to attend in an investigational capacity, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

Investigators with the Serious Crime Unit will remain in contact with Jack family members while the search is ongoing.
