File # 2023-3997

Shortly after 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, Prince George RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery at a gas station on the 8000-block of the Hart Highway. When police arrived at the location they learned that the suspects stole several firearms from a locked gun cabinet and then fled in a dark coloured minivan.

A short time later police observed a minivan that matched the suspect vehicle’s description near Oak Street and Monkley Avenue. The vehicle fled from police and was located again a short distance away, stuck in the middle of Strathcona Park. With the assistance of a Police Service Dog team, four suspects were arrested and are being held in custody until they can attend court.

Investigators are looking to speak to any witnesses or to anyone who may have dash camera footage showing the suspects or the vehicle following the robbery that occurred at 1:00 a.m., states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP. We ask that anyone with information contact an investigator by calling Prince George RCMP’s non-emergency line at 250-561-3300.
