RCMP looking to identify slashing suspect

Sunshine Coast RCMP are looking to identify a male suspect who slashed a victim in the hand with a knife after being confronted in an underground parking garage in Sechelt.

The suspect is described as being a white male, approximately 5'5" with a stocky build, short stubble beard and moustache, missing teeth, wearing dark clothing and a blue rain jacket carrying a grey multi colored backpack. Two photos provided below of the suspect.

The incident occurred in the 5600 block of Wharf Avenue at approximately 4:30 am on December 29th. Anyone with any information on this assault, or who has video surveillance in the 5600 block of Wharf Avenue between 4 and 5:00 am is asked to contact the RCMP at 604-885-2266.
